The Thermal T-Shirt Care Guide

HOW TO WASH THIS LITTLE BEAUTY

No need for a textile degree. 30°C max, inside out, with clothes of a similar ilk. Use a wash bag, if you have one, and opt for liquid detergent rather than powder. The latter can be a bit of a nuisance with fibres and colours.

Never wring your T-shirt out under any circumstances, it breaks the fibres and will ruin your item.

DRYING?

Putting it through the tumble dryer is like inviting an elephant to do a jig on it. Terrible idea. Let it air-dry instead, ideally laid flat on a clean towel. It takes a bit longer, but your T-shirt will keep its original shape and size and generally thank you this way.

AND IRONING?

If creases bother you more than the sound of people eating, a quick blast with the iron at 110°C will do the job. No hotter, unless you’re trying to turn your Thermal into a textile pancake.

FOR THE RECORD, THIS T-SHIRT WOULDN’T HURT A FLY

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law has required brands in the textile industry to share clear information with you, to encourage more conscious, informed buying. We didn’t wait for the legislation to get on with it, but it’s a step in the right direction, and we’re happy to share a few extra details about your Thermal T-Shirt:

  • It’s fully recyclable once dismantled. If your time together comes to an end, your item can be fully recycled. That said, we'd always recommend repairing and/or handing it down to someone before recycling.
  • It contains no plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, it's been designed to minimise its environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
  • It contains no hazardous materials. Our T-shirts are made in line with strict standards designed to rule out harmful substances and other chemical treatments.
  • It contains no recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately that wasn't possible with this one.

THAT’S IT
