You've got yourself a Knitted Jacket. Smart move. But as you know, owning nice things is only half the battle. You’ve got to keep them looking nice, too

It's always the same story with wool, you’ve got to be careful washing it. In this case, we'd suggest doing so by hand in cold water with a drop of organic liquid detergent.

That said, you don’t need to wash it very often. Bacteria find it hard to get a proper foothold with wool, which keeps it pretty much odourless. Not to mention Corriedale wool, which this handsome beast is made from. So just air your jacket between wears and you’re good. A proper wash once a season is plenty.

After hand-washing, press excess water out gently. Do not twist or wring it, it will damage the fibres.

Afterwards, lay it flat on a towel to soak up any remaining water and leave it to dry.

Whatever you do, don't hang it on a hanger to dry. The weight of the saturated wool will pull it out of shape.

Wool barely creases, so this step is totally up to you. If you want to, you can, on a wool setting not more than 150°C.

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works. So here are a few extra details about your Knitted Jacket:

• It's 100% recyclable. If your time together comes to an end, know that it can be fully recycled. That said, we'd suggest thinking about giving it away before recycling as the longer it's worn, the lower its impact.
• It doesn't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, it’s been designed to minimise its environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
• It doesn't contain hazardous substances. It respects strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make it.
• It doesn't contain recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible with this one.
