Now, how to keep this tee going and going and going. Nothing complicated about it — just follow these few guidelines and you're golden.

First things first, turn it inside out before it goes in the drum. Not only does this clean the side that's actually against your skin, it also protects the front from any snags in the machine.

Then, run a 30°C cycle with a moderate spin. For the spin, keep it to 800 rpm max.

And please, wash similar colours together. Lights with lights, darks with darks, and colours with colours. Simple as.

As for detergent, our advice is always the same: liquid, eco-friendly, and free from bleaching agents. Your tee will thank you.

Forget the tumble dryer if you want to protect your Imperfect T-shirt’s fabric.

Dry it flat in a well-ventilated spot, away from direct sunlight. That's the secret to keeping your trusty companion in shape and looking sharp year after year.

And just so we're crystal clear: wringing out your tee to dry it is strictly forbidden. You'll risk breaking the fibres and leaving it permanently twisted. Not the look.

That texture is the whole point — that's what gives it its charm. But if you really want to iron your Imperfect T-shirt, stick to a cotton setting at 110°C max. Ideally, place a layer of fabric between the jersey and the iron's soleplate. It's the safest way to avoid any nasty marks.

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works.

So here are a few extra details about your Imperfect T-shirt:

• It's 100% recyclable. If your time together comes to an end, your item can be fully recycled. That said, we'd always recommend repairing and/or handing it down to someone before recycling.
• It doesn't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, it's been designed to minimise its environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
• It doesn't contain hazardous substances. It respects strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make it.
• It doesn't contain recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible with this one.
