Care guide for the Turtleneck

Step 1 : Washing it

We worked hard to design you a jumper that doesn’t come out in a kiddy size after the first wash. However this doesn’t mean you don’t have to take care, it’s wool after all. We recommend hand washing in cold water with a drop of natural detergent. Failing that, the best option is to machine wash at max. 30°C inside a net on a wool or cotton program.

Then use max. 400rpm spin-program. Certainly never higher than 30°C. If you want to bolster the softness of your jumper you could add a teaspoon of softener.

PS: Merino wool is anti-bacterial, which means it limits the growth of bacteria thanks to the structure of its fibres. So there's no need to wash it every other day. Just air it out for a few hours between each wear, and that's more than enough to get rid of smells and the rest before its monthly wash.

Step 2 : Drying it

Please don’t put the jumper in the tumble dryer. We strongly recommend that you let your jumper dry in the open air laid flat.

Never use a hanger when drying as when wet the weight of the water in the jumper risks pulling it out of shape.

If you went for the hand wash option, resist the temptation of wringing it out by hand as this risks ruining the fibres over time.

Step 3: Ironing it

Merino wool jerseys don’t tend to crease much. However, ironing is a good way of keeping your jumper looking like new after each wash. Use a medium heat setting (don't max it as it will scorch the wool and or set it too low as it won’t make a dent) with a little steam. The jumper’s ok with that.

Step 4 : Putting it on

It's a technique in its own right. First your head and then the arms. You'll no doubt quickly get the hang of it.

It saves you from pulling on the collar and stretching it over time, even if that's a long time coming. Also, you won't have to wrestle around in the dark like a trainee Houdini and have trouble finding the light at the end of that tunnel.

Thanks !
