Soft Spot

You’ve got brushing to thank for this one. Take a top-notch cotton twill, give it a good mechanical brushing to fluff up the surface fibres, and you get a downy texture that locks in warmth and delivers a level of softness that can make a hard man cry. It’s science, it’s common sense, and it works an absolute treat.

A neat added bonus: it's already been pre-washed at the factory, so it won’t shrink and you won't be spotting any bobbles anytime soon, either.

Cut for winter, and all that goes with it

It’s cut straight, but with personality. We’ve added a neat bit of shaping at the waist to dodge the dreaded sac of spuds look, and any of you who are familiar with our Button-down Oxford will notice it’s about half a size roomier. Translation? It slides nicely under a jumper in the winter and lets a bit more air flow when things warm up.

Bit of friendly advice: if you’re caught between sizes, go smaller if you fancy a closer fit or size up if you want to wear it as an overshirt in the spring.

To infinity and beyond

When something works, you don’t meddle with it. And by ‘works’, we’re of course talking about all the rave reviews you lot have given the Winter Shirt over the years. There’s no lack of praise for its comfort and how well it stands up to the everyday strains. Not to mention the endless requests we get to re-release it (our inbox takes a pounding this time of year), and let’s be honest, every time we see one in the studio, it’s hard not to give it a cheeky feel. So, as always, instead of messing with a good thing just to please our egos, we stuck with it as is, in all its glory. A fabric you could melt into, the forgiving fit, and the details that are made to last. The only tweak? We’ve added some fresh new colours to keep the winter blues at bay.

How does preordering work?

Basically, it means you buy the garment before it’s produced. By pre‑ordering, you’re the one launching the production.

With this system, we only produce what’s sold, so we avoid overproduction and can offer you an excellent quality‑price ratio.
