You're not dreaming — we've developed a Terry Polo Shirt. Some of you will love it, others will disown us forever, but there you go. We did it.

  • It's 100% organic cotton. Now, let's be clear: there's terry cloth and there's terry cloth. We're talking premium, certified pure organic cotton. Not the plasticky stuff that looks like it belongs under the kitchen sink.
  • A lovely weight at 220 gsm. Any lighter and it won’t hold its shape over time. Any heavier and it's unwearable in summer. How do we know? We tested five different weights before finding just the right balance.
  • A clean drape. Just because we're having a bit of fun with this item doesn't mean we've cut corners on the fabric. It falls beautifully, year after year.

No funny business

The Terry Polo Shirt adds a bit of flair to your wardrobe. The item itself is bold enough as it is, so we kept the fit straightforward:

  • The cut is straight. Simple, effective, addictive even. It pulls together any relaxed summer outfit.
  • A sensible length. If our calculations are correct, it’s not something that you’ll be wearing with a jacket and tie. So we went for a moderate, casual length that works just right with shorts and swimming trunks.
  • The proportions are spot on. The shoulder line is natural, the sleeves fall mid-bicep, and the collar opening is nicely balanced. The whole thing comes together in proper harmony.

The extra distance, as always

When it comes to construction, we gave the Terry Polo Shirt the same respect as our Polo Shirt:

  • The knit is pre-stabilised before assembly. This stops it from stretching, twisting or shrinking from the first wear to many, many summers down the line.
  • A reinforced pocket. As well as being lined, the chest pocket is firmly attached with reinforced, topstitched triangular bar tags.
  • Neat little side vents. They don’t just look good, they also make the shirt more comfortable to move around in.
