Two fabrics, two personalities

The New Trousers come in two fabrics, both woven from organic cotton but with very different feels:

• Herringbone for the detail lovers: a V-shaped weave that gives the cotton a unique structure and drape. It holds its shape, feels soft against the skin, and won't ever veer into pyjama territory.
• Lightweight denim for the patina lovers: an 8.7oz denim (vs 12.5 to 14.5oz for our classic denims). All the patina and raw character of proper denim, in a featherweight version you can wear all summer long.

Straight, elasticated and finished as you’d expect

The cut is straight, with a leg that holds a clean, unrestrictive line. The elasticated waistband adds a second dose of unadulterated comfort. With a YKK metal zip and 5 belt loops, it packs all the hold you’d get from a belt, but without the rigidity.

• The fit has been engineered for maximum ease of movement, particularly around the back rise. Comfortable without looking like joggers.
• At the front, two Italian-style side pockets with topstitching and bar tack reinforcement top and bottom for durability. At the back, two patch pockets with double topstitching.
• The buttons are made from bio-sourced resin in a mottled brown. Understated and handsome in equal measure.
