Is that linen I spy?
Indeed it is
For the fabric, we went with French linen, woven by our production partners, Leomaster, in Italy.
- A substantial 275 gsm fabric. Breathable enough to keep you well ventilated, dense enough to guarantee a clean drape with zero show-through. The only thing that’s transparent here is Asphalte.
- All the virtues of linen. Naturally hardwearing, temperature-regulating, eco-friendly, antibacterial and hypoallergenic. Nice one, Mother Nature.
- Homegrown. We selected linen grown in the north of France, our home country. Better still, it carries the European Flax label — a certification guaranteeing environmentally responsible farming and full traceability across the entire supply chain.

What about the fit?
Tailored, not tight
Last summer, a lot of customers found the cut a touch too straight. So we've slimmed things down a bit to hit the sweet spot.
- Tailored, not slim. We went for a fairly straight fit at the waist, then tapered down towards the ankle. It's smart and versatile — works just as well on its own as it does paired with its jacket.
- Mid-rise waist. The waistband sits comfortably on your hips, a few centimetres below your navel.
- A pressed front crease running the full leg. It looks good and elongates the silhouette. It’s a nice sartorial touch, but that said you can easily iron it out if it's not your thing.
- Alterations. Budget around fifteen euros extra to have the trousers taken up to your preferred length by your local tailor. Classic clean hem or Italian turn-ups — your call.

Anything else?
A few words on the details and finishing
Top to bottom, nothing's been left to chance:
- The right pleats in the right places. For comfort as much as style, we've added a pair of visible pleats either side of the fly.
- Sartorial details at the waistband. Offset buttoning, bio-sourced button, metal hook, nylon zipper, 5 cm belt loops reinforced with bar tacks, side adjusters, silicone grip band inside the waistband — the full works.
- Pockets galore. Two at the back, two at the front, all lined and backed with 100% cotton pocket bags.
