The 8.5oz denim

Denim thickness is done in ounces (oz), it’s old school like that. Most jeans out there sit somewhere between 10 and 15oz. So, the Light Jeans are just that: light. Trimming back the weight of the fabric to 8.5oz makes them ideal for the warmer months. No more sweaty jeans, just good style.

  • Weight ≠ quality. Like most good things, denim quality isn't defined only by its weight. Quality denim comes down to choice of cotton fibres, spinning methods, weaving technique, how they’re dyed, and how they’re made.
  • Thank you, Candiani. To guarantee a tip top fabric, we turned to our Italian denim partners Candiani - Europe's leader in high quality and sustainable denim.
  • 100% certified organic cotton. The Light Jeans are woven from RegenAgri-certified organic Spanish cotton. It’s very good stuff.

The challenge is developing a fit that looks as good as it feels. We made sure that your legs have room to breathe, without losing the sort of tidy aesthetic you demanded.

Made to last years and years

Light, yes. Fragile, far from. The Light Jeans are reinforced in all the right places with our usual care:

  • 2 slanted pockets at the hips. Fully bar tacked at all the stress points.
  • 2 double-welted pockets at the back. They look good and stay looking good.
  • A solid metal zip. Smooth motion that won’t nip your fingers.
  • Bio-sourced buttons. Shank-mounted and machine-sewn with Ascolite. They stay fastened.
  • Fully reinforced. Waistband, belt loops, the outseam - all have been topstitched in corded thread and bar tacked to keep up with your everyday.

Basically, it means you buy the garment before it’s produced. By pre‑ordering, you’re the one launching the production.

With this system, we only produce what’s sold, so we avoid overproduction and can offer you an excellent quality‑price ratio.
