Made from Fresco® woven in Huddersfield, our Fresco Suit Trousers are steeped in British understatement, rethought for the summer:

• A straight cut, slightly tapered from the knee down: neither too slim nor too wide, it follows the leg without clinging to it. A sharp silhouette that stays cool when it's hot.
• A hidden elastic tab: tucked inside the waistband, this clever system shaves off half a size. Handy if you're between two sizes, or if your shape shifts a bit with the seasons.
• A deliberately long leg, with no hem: you choose the break you want. Italian turn-ups, a crisp hem, or a high crop at the ankle — up to you.
• A grip band: keeps your shirt tucked in without squeezing you like a vice. Maximum breathability, even if you're sitting down all day.

Light it is, flimsy it certainly is not

Lightweight summer trousers that breathe. More often than not, that means two or three seasons before they fall apart. Not this pair:

• Fresco®, seriously hard-wearing: Hardy Minnis twists multiple merino wool yarns at high intensity before weaving them. This technique gives the fabric its vibrant, crease-resistant character. But above all, it makes it seriously strong.
• Conted, the trouser specialists: the Romanian factory we chose has been making nothing but suits for decades. The finishing is precise down to the last millimetre, the pockets robust, the seams reinforced, the waistband rock solid. Don't be afraid to wear them, they’re built to put in a serious shift.
• Merino wool, zero faff: self-cleaning and odour-resistant, Merino wool needs very little looking after. Dry clean every 10–15 wears and you're sorted. Friendly tip: if you also have the jacket, try to dry clean both equally often so they age the same.

King of summer

If you're already familiar with the Asphalte suits, you'll know the 4-Season Suit is your year-round companion. The Winter Suit is for the cold. The Linen Suit is for spotless summer evenings. The Slack Jacket is more of a relaxed affair. And our Fresco Suit is simply the king of summer. The one you reach for without a second thought from June to September.
