To make such an exceptional knit, you need to:
- Find the raw material
- Spin a yarn from that fibre
- Knit that yarn into a fabric
- Cut and sew the fabric into a knit
To make the softest, tidiest knit out there, we went for:
- A 19.5-micron merino wool fibre (4x finer than a human hair)
- An extra-fine combed yarn (16 gauge, for the textile buffs out there)
- A dense, tight jersey construction for maximum stability
- Made in Bulgaria by knitwear specialists
Sounds simple. It wasn’t.
What is simple, though, is that the Extrafine Knit is up for preorder on Tuesday for €89.
