Good news or the bad news first?

The good news is that we’ve brought back our much-loved Legend Sneakers.

The bad news? This’ll be the last time we make ‘em.

The truth is that our uncompromising design makes these particularly tricky to produce. With the idea of cutting corners or making an inferior version out of the question, we’ve decided to let these legends bow out gracefully with a final, limited-edition run of 600 pairs.

So, if you want a classic pair of properly made sneakers in your life, it’s game time.

Taking inspiration from classic basketball and tennis shoe designs, the High Top Legend Sneakers are the kind of sophisticated sneakers that work with everything. Maybe best described as sneakers for those who don’t usually like sneakers, they’ve got more in common with hand-crafted shoes than anything you’d find in your local sporting mega-store. No gimmicks here, just high-quality materials and expert Portuguese craftsmanship.

Fabric - What really sets the Legend Sneakers apart is the materials they’re made from. The white ones are constructed from smooth, full-grain calfskin leather, whilst the rest are made from super-supple suede. These are the same Italian leathers we used on our much-loved Solid Sneakers. Tough stuff, but still flexible. Balancing durability with comfort ain’t easy, but we reckon we’ve cracked it with these.

For the outsole, we used Thermoplastic Polyurethanes, or TPUs for short. For those in the know, that’s the same tough stuff used to make top-notch workwear boots. This TPU is made from recycled shoes, which adds some eco-friendly circularity to the whole affair... You can expect top-level, non-slip durability from these.

The sneakers were constructed using the suitably fancy-sounding ‘Strobel method’. This basically means that the outsole was sewn on the upper’s base and is secured in place with a strong thread, preventing the outsole from flapping about or coming loose.

We then added a toe cap for a bit of extra toughness and inserted a little cushion inside the heel to ensure a really comfy fit.

So there you go, it’s the end of an era. If it’s hard-wearing, good-looking high-tops you’re after, then you better get moving. Without sounding too much like an overly pushy market trader, once these are gone, they really are gone. After all, even the most legendary of legends can’t last forever.

All very well, but how do you get them? Well, the last 450 pairs of Legend Sneakers will be available to preorder for 139€ from next Tuesday. As usual, and even more so this time, it’s first come first served.

Remember, returns and exchanges are easy and the cost of the return is on us.
