Congratulations on your new Flannel Suit Trousers, now here's how to look after them properly.

The longevity of your trousers comes down to how you wear them and how you look after them. The golden rule is to hang them up whenever you're not wearing them to keep creases at bay and preserve their shape.

If you spill something on them, act fast. A bit of lukewarm water and some mild soap should see off most things as long as you're quick off the mark.

You probably already know this: machine washing a suit is a total no-go. Instead, drop them off at your local dry cleaners whenever they need freshening up. It'll cost you around fifteen euros, but it's really worth it.

PS: To avoid the colours ageing differently, we'd strongly recommend dry cleaning both parts of the suit together whenever you do - jacket and trousers.

One last bit of friendly advice: when you collect your clothes, always check their condition before leaving the dry cleaners. Once you walk out of the shop, you "accept" any damage that occurred during cleaning. Spot it while you're still in the shop, and they're the dry cleaner's responsibility.

If you crease them badly for any reason, give them a quick iron on a low heat. 110°C max.

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products, so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works. So here are a few extra details about your Flannel Suit Trousers:

• They're 100% recyclable. If your time together comes to an end, know that they can be fully recycled. That said, we'd suggest thinking about giving them away before recycling, as the longer they're worn, the lower their impact.
• They don't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, they've been designed to minimise their environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
• They don't contain hazardous substances. They respect strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make them.
• They don't contain recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible with this one.
