The Cashmere Overcoat care guide
Hello there,
If you're after some practical tips on cleaning your Cashmere Overcoat, you're in the right place.
Wear and washing
Couldn't be easier. Hang your Cashmere Overcoat on a wide-shouldered coat hanger when you take it off and air it for a few minutes now and again.
The beauty of made from 90% wool and 10% recycled cashmere flannel so is both odourless and self-cleaning. The structure of the wool fibres stops bacteria from multiplying, which keeps the fabric feeling fresh for longer.
A trip down to the dry cleaners once or twice a year is plenty. Don’t try and wash it at home, even by hand. It won’t like it. When you do get it dry cleaned, always check its condition before you leave the premises. You can never be too careful.
If any bobbles appear over time, go over them with a pilling razor. It’ll get rid of them in no time. You can give it a brush while you’re at it to get rid of any dust. It'll thank you for it.

When spring starts to properly warm up, pop it in a garment cover. If you have a lavender sachet, chuck it in to keep any moths at bay.

Squeaky clean
Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works. So here are a few extra details about your Cashmere Overcoat:
- It's 100% recyclable. If your time together comes to an end, know that it can be fully recycled. That said, we'd suggest thinking about giving it away before recycling as the longer it's worn, the lower its impact.
- It doesn't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, it's been designed to minimise its environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
- It doesn't contain hazardous substances. It follows strict European standards aimed at eliminating substances and chemical treatments that could be harmful to you, the environment, and the people who make it.
- It contains 10% recycled materials. The 10% cashmere is genuinely recycled, giving old cashmere items a new lease of life.
