Care Guide for your Lightweight Sweatshirt

After soaking up the sun, sea salt and a bit of rosé, it's natural to want to give your sweatshirt a freshen up. But be warned, this Lightweight Sweatshirt can be a little sensitive.

Washing the Light Sweatshirt

Nothing new under the sun**, simply place it inside out in the washing machine and run it through a 30°C cotton programme topped off by a 600-800 rpm max spin.**

Obviously, it's best to wash similar colours together to prevent the darker ones from bleeding onto the lighter ones, but you know that. If you've got a washing net handy, that's the best thing you can do.

When it comes to the detergent, we always recommend liquid, organic ones as powder can leave marks on dark colours. In fact, you can even make your own at home using one of the 200 billion recipes available online. It's more economical, more ecological and you'll finally be able to get the smell you really want.

Hang it to dry

Don't use a tumble dryer. If you're short of space, you can hang it upside down on a drying rack, but the best way is to lay it horizontally, possibly on a terry towel to soak up the excess water. We'd advise you not to wring it out, as you might damage its sensitive fibres.

Ironing your Light Sweatshirt

Ironing enthusiasts rest assured, it's perfectly possible to give your sweatshirt a few presses. Just make sure you set yours on the cotton programme, with a temperature of 110° max, and place a fabric between the plate and your precious fabric. There's no better way to avoid burns or nasty lime scale marks.

FYI, OUR LIGHT SWEATSHIRT AND THE PLANET

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works.

  • It’s 100% recyclable after being dismantled. If your time together comes to an end, your item can be fully recycled. That said, we'd always recommend repairing and/or handing it down to someone before recycling
  • No microplastics are released during washing. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, it's been designed to minimise its environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
  • They do not contain any hazardous materials. It respects strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make it.
  • They do not contain any recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible with this one.
