Care guide for the Wool Zipped Jacket
Your Jacket is a great ally for facing cool days in style and comfort. Here are a few care tips to keep it looking its best over the years.
Washing it
Wool is a delicate material, so you don’t want to put it through its paces.
Opt for hand washing in cold or lukewarm water, no hotter than 30°C. Use a mild detergent, specially designed for wool, and avoid rubbing too hard to avoid damaging the fibres. A little tip to minimise rubbing: turn it inside out before washing.
Your jacket won’t like twisting and shaking during the rinse step too much. Instead, we suggest you wrap it in a clean terry towel and roll it up gently, pressing to absorb excess water. Then leave it to dry flat so it keeps its original shape.

Drying. it
Stay away from the tumble dryer! Your Wool Zipped Jumper will much better enjoy drying in the open air. Lay it flat on a towel so it comes back to its original shape. Avoid direct sunlight or sources of intense heat.

Ironing it
A well-ironed wool jacket looks great, but please be careful! To avoid it getting shiny iron marks always place a damp cloth between the iron and your garment. Set your iron to a temperature at 150°C maximum, and iron gently without pressing too hard.

FYI, OUR WOOL ZIPPED JACKET IS SOFT ON YOU AND THE PLANET
Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Wool Zipped Jacket:
- They’re 100% recyclable after being taken apart, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. However, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. By giving rather than selling, you're contributing to a virtuous cycle and helping those who need it most.
- Unlike many garments that release microplastics during washing, our Wool Zipped Jackets have been designed not to do so. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
- They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
- They do not contain any recycled materials. We try and incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Wool Zipped Jacket.
