Care Guide for the M-65 Jacket

Go pro

It’s worth taking your M-65 to a dry cleaners once a year, just to freshen things up, but no need to have it cleaned any more than that. Too much and the chemicals involved in the process can make the fabric wear out more quickly.

Friendly tip: Remember to check your clothes when you pick them up from the dry-cleaners. That way, if you find any damage you can let them know before you take them home. Once you’ve left the building they’re unlikely to take any responsibility for the damage.

Do it yourself

If you’d rather just take care of the jacket yourself, here’s what you need to know: Washing it.

You can put your M-65 Jacket in the machine. Anything up to 30°C is fine. Don’t turn it inside out, as the lining is actually more fragile than the moleskin cotton outer.

Rinsing it:

A gentle spin in the machine is perfectly acceptable, too. Try and keep things nice and mellow at around 400rpm.

Drying it:

Al fresco, preferably in the shade, and on a hanger so it keeps its shape.

If ironing is your thing, you can give it a few gentle presses with a touch of steam, max 150°C. Whatever you do, absolutely no tumble dryers or bleaching it.

Thanks.
