Care guide for the Joggers

We recommend washing your Joggers with similar colours on a short cycle 30˚C wash. That's enough to properly wash them without damaging the cotton fibres. Turn them inside-out to protect th exterior from any sharp parts of the drum or aggressive bits from other clothes in the same wash (eg: zips).

If you use a laundry net, even better, that's the gold standard and your Joggers will thank you for it over the years. Make sure the wash program finishes on a 800rpm spin cycle to get rid of excess water. Don't go any higher, it won't speed anything up and risks damaging the cotton fibres. When picking a detergent go for a liquid as powders often leave marks which are especially visible on darker garments. That goes for all your clothes, not just your Joggers

Air dry flat.

When you get your Joggers out of the machine don't wring them out by hand, however tempting that might be. It'll rip the cotton fibres and reduce your Joggers' life expectancy. Lay them flat on a surface that won't get damaged by the wet garment.

Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Joggers.

• They’re 100% recyclable, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. However, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. By giving rather than selling, you're contributing to a virtuous cycle and helping those who need it most.
• Unlike many garments that release microplastics during washing, our Joggers have been designed not to do so. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
• They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
• They do not contain any recycled materials. We try and incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Joggers. Hopefully that’ll be the case next time round.
