Care Guide for the Classic Shorts

Finally, summer relief is just around the corner. To take a bit of weight off your shoulders - and calves alike - here are a few tips to take care of your Classic Shorts.

Washing them

Nothing new under the sun. Turn your Shorts inside out and wash on a cold cycle (30°C max) with similar colours topping it off with a gentle 600 to 800rpm max. rinse cycle.

And opting for an organic detergent (in any case preferably liquid) would be the icing on the cake.

Drying them

Stay away from the tumble dryer. We recommend drying your shorts al fresco, preferably in the shade or a well-ventilated area. That’s better for your clothes, the planet and your energy bill. And you’ll get a head start for the next step.

Ironing them

Good news, this step is entirely up to you. But if ironing’s your thing, we suggest turning the shorts inside out and using the low heat - 110°C max. Also, avoid ironing over seams as it can also scorch the fabric.

That’s all from us. We hope you enjoy catching the rays in your Classic Shorts.

FYI, OUR CLASSIC SHORTS ARE SOFT ON YOU AND THE PLANET

Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Classic Shorts:

  • They’re 100% recyclable, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. However, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. By giving rather than selling, you're contributing to a virtuous cycle and helping those who need it most.
  • Unlike many garments that release microplastics during washing, our Classic Shorts have been designed not to do so. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
  • They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
  • They do not contain any recycled materials. We try and incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Classic Shorts.

Thanks !
