The Chambray Shirt can work with almost anything, but it could do with a little help from time to time. Here's how to do it seriously.

Woven in France from organic cotton, your Chambray Shirt can survive a spin in the wash. When the time comes, say every 4 or 5 wears (unless you wear it directly on your skin) turn your shirt inside out and machine-wash it on a cold setting - 30°C max and rinse on a max 800rpm cycle. If you want to offer your shirt extra protection we recommend using a mesh laundry bag and a 100% natural detergent that’s soft on the planet

Note: If you opted for the Rinse or Stone version, make sure to wash your Shirt separately (or with dark colours) the first 4 or 5 times. Since the warp thread is dyed with indigo, it may bleed and stain your clothes.

Extra tip: unbutton it before washing (including the collar and cuffs). It'll save it a lot of unnecessary strain.

Whatever you do, please do not tumble-dry it. Tumble driers are the sworn enemy of most clothing and the Chambray Shirt is no different. Air-dry it, preferably in the shade to protect the colours.

Lay it flat or on a wooden hanger in a well-ventilated area and your shirt should be dry and feel fresh in a flash.

Turn your shirt inside out and use a low setting - 110°C max. This is super important as an iron that’s too hot will scorch the cotton and leave marks on your shirt. Also, avoid the seams for the same reason.

If you’d rather send in the special ops, no problem, the Chambray Shirt is happy being professionally dry-cleaned.

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works. So here are a few extra details about your Chambray Shirt:

• It's 100% recyclable. If your time together comes to an end, know that it can be fully recycled. That said, we'd suggest thinking about giving it away before recycling as the longer it's worn, the lower its impact.
• It doesn't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, they've been designed to minimise their environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
• It doesn't contain any hazardous substances. It respects strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make it.
• It doesn't contain recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to incorporate recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible with this one.
