Care Guide for the Button-Down Oxford Shirt
Step 1 : Washing
Machine wash your shirt at 30˚C, preferably in a laundry net to protect the fabric from any damage from zips or the machine drum. We recommend this one, it's quite expensive but it'll work great on your shirt and you can use it for any synthetic garments you have and avoid microplastics getting into the waterways.

Step 2 : Drying and ironing
Drying:
To keep your shirt looking at its best for as long as possible we strongly recommend not machine drying it. We advise against machine drying with all clothes, not just because it damages them but also because it's a waste of natural resources. The best way to dry your shirt is to set the wash to finish on a 800rpm spin cycle and to air dry flat or on a hanger. This will also help the creases fall out and make it easier to iron. Avoid going above 800rpm, it won't dry it any quicker and your shirt won't thank you for it.
Ironing:
Ironing can be a good opportunity to listen to a podcast but more often than most it's an unwelcome chore. It's however an important part of keeping your shirt at its best, not only so that it looks good when worn but also to realign the fibres after washing. A quick blast on a medium heat (max 150˚C) when still a little damp to the touch will do the job.

That's it
We hope you'll have many happy years with your shirt and if you have any comments to share please do so. However minor - positive or negative - please get in touch: support@asphalte.com
