You had the good taste to invest in a pair, so here’s how to look after them properly.

No two pairs of pins are exactly the same. We do everything we can to make our clothes work for as many people as possible, but we don’t pretend to be made-to-measure.

You might need a quick trip to your local alteration specialist, at the very least for the hem. Nothing complicated, it's standard stuff that any decent tailor can do blindfolded.

If needed, they can also adjust the waist so they sit on your hips just the way you want.

The longevity of your 4-Season Uniform Trousers depends largely on how you wear them and how you look after them. The golden rule here is to pop them on a hanger whenever you take them off. This not only keeps creases at bay, but it also protects their shape. There's really no other way.

If you spill something on them, act fast. A bit of lukewarm water and some gentle soap should see off most things as long as you’re quick.

You probably suspected already that these trousers aren’t for the washing machine. When they need freshening up, drop them off at your local dry cleaners. It'll cost you around €15, but it's really worth it.

If you have the full suit, always clean the jacket and the trousers at the same time. This avoids the colours ageing differently.

If you really want to wash them by hand, you can. Use cold water and a drop of organic liquid detergent, and air-dry flat. Don’t wring them out, it’ll damage them.

One last bit of friendly advice: always check your clothes before leaving the dry cleaners. Once you walk out that door, you've "accepted" their condition. Spot those snags while you're still in the shop and the dry cleaner will take care of them.

Since 1 January 2024, the AGEC law requires all textile brands to be transparent about what goes into their products so we can all have a much better idea of exactly what we're buying. We didn't wait for the legislation to do this, we actually lobbied for it, and we think it's an important step in the right direction to change the way our industry works. So here are a few extra details about your 4-Season Uniform Trousers:

• They’re 100% recyclable. If you stop wearing them for whatever reason, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. The best way of reducing an item of clothing’s impact is by keeping it in circulation.
• They don't contain plastic microfibres. Unlike a lot of clothing that sheds microplastics in the wash, they've been designed to minimise their environmental impact. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles that wreak havoc on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
• They don't contain hazardous substances. They respect strict European standards aimed at eliminating harmful substances and chemical treatments for you, the environment, and the people who make them.
• They don't contain recycled materials. Sometimes we manage to use recycled materials to further reduce the impact of our clothes. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible in this case.
