100% organic cotton

On paper, nothing looks more like a tote bag than another tote bag. A rectangular body, unbleached fabric, two handles and you’re good to go. But ours is nothing like the last one you bought when you realised that burrata, yoghurt and spinach-ricotta ravioli won’t fit in your pockets.

First, the material. We've chosen organic cotton grown, harvested and processed in Turkey. What's different compared to conventional cotton you may ask?

  • It's more environmentally friendly, thanks to pesticide-free farming that preserves soil, water and biodiversity.
  • It’s respectful of farmers' health, their financial independence and their working conditions.
  • It’s better of your health as it doesn't contain any nasties.
  • It’s tough as nuts since its fibres are stronger than with conventional cotton.

A dense canvas

We opted for a canvas weave, an extremely dense and tight plain weave that has long been a workwear go-to. In fact, the fabric is so strong and compact it survives many a bad treatment as well as heavy loads and bad weather. You're certainly not going to put a hole in this one with a flask, a bunch of keys or three packets of gnocchi. Experience has taught us that the handles are often a weak point. To save you from rupturing your straps, we've reinforced the seams with tacking and thick thread. You can load it up, it won't let go.

Responsible dyeing

If you're familiar with our Triple A Sneakers, this logo should mean something to you. Clément Johanet designed it for us to mark the launch of our first sneakers, and we liked it so much that we decided to use it across other items. So here it is on our Tote-Bag, printed using water-based inks to make it as crisp as possible. Fewer chemical solvents and less energy used as well as exposure to harmful stuff for the people who make them. And 0 skin irritation for you. It all adds up.

A coherent space

Back at the office, the product team racked their brains to come up with the perfect dimensions. The Vitruvian Man it may not be, but we think Leo would still be proud. 34 cm deep, 60 cm wide, 22 cm wide, 60 cm long handles and a volume of 44 litres: the size/opening/content/handling ratio is spot on.

No souci !
