The history-making hood

Be careful how you wear yours

Before the Ancient Greeks invented trivial things like democracy and medicine, they focused their attention on something far more important: the hood. These were the days before brollies, baseball caps, and bucket hats, so you needed something to keep your noggin’ dry in the rain, and sheltered from the sunshine. And they were clearly onto something, because people carried on wearing hoods in one form or another for the next 3,000 years. Now that’s timeless design.

Let’s get down to business

A cut for kings

The Hoodie has to fit well enough to look good for social events as well as on the track, so we’ve avoided bagginess at all costs. The Hoodie’s clean, straight cut means it won’t get in the way when out for a jog, and also looks great with a pair of jeans.

Award-winning fabric

Ok, not exactly a Grammy, but our material has got a few certifications to be proud of. We’ve used organic certified 100% organic cotton from Turkey, which also carries the Standard 100 label by OEKO-TEX, meaning every single thread has been tested for harmful substances.

All good in the hood

Having a heavenly soft material is useless if the Hoodie isn’t made properly. So we took our organic cotton over to Portugal to be dyed, knitted and finished by the experts at Eigui (you can trust them, they also made the T-shirt and Sweatshirt you love so much).

Oldie but a hoodie

We tested the durability of the Hoodie to make sure it was strong enough and didn’t pill, both on the outside and reverse. You can bid farewell to those horrible bobbles and be sure this Hoodie will last until you’re old and grey (or a pretty long time, at least).

Wash away those worries

We cut the fabric horizontally to allow it to stretch when worn while ensuring that the Hoodie won’t lose its shape, even after all those spins in the washing machine. Yep, you don’t need to avoid washing it for fear it might shrink. We really don’t want you to smell bad on our account.

Easy and breezy

We sewed the front and back of the Hoodie together and used flatlock seams to avoid bulkiness and increase flexibility. Then we added ribbed side-panels to allow for even more movement, so don’t be shy when flailing your arms around on the dance floor.

Under the hood

You can’t have a hoodie with a pathetic, floppy hood, so we attached ours to the neck with a layer of bias tape to make sure it sits nicely. When things get rough, pop your hood on and adjust it through the embroidered rivets.

Deep pockets. Tough too

Put as much as you want in that kangaroo pouch, because we secured it with hardy triangular stitching (rather than just bartacks) so that they don’t give way. Oh and we brushed the reverse to keep your hands happy too. You’re welcome.

No loose ends

Aside from anything else, a hoodie needs to protect you from the cold. So our waist and cuffs are made with the same 1x1 organic cotton ribbing to make them tight enough to keep out the pesky draughts.

And for real real ?
