For Work and Play
BUILT FOR THE SUMMER
You’ve got the choice of three classic, warm-weather fabrics. Up first, we’ve got 165g/m2 linen woven in France. Ultra-cool, with a light, natural feel—pour yourself a barley water, lower your sunhat over your face and bask in its summery aura.
STRAIGHT OUTTA OXFORD
Oxford cloth probably doesn’t need much spiel does it? Smart, but tough, it’s the perfect do-it-all fabric that works right through the year. To keep ours warm-weather-ready, we opted for a lighter-than-usual 180g/m2.
TOP OF THE POPLINS
And finally, we’ve got 125g/m2 poplin. Crisp, sleek and quick to dry, this will keep you fresh on even the stuffiest of summer days.
GRANDAD KNOWS BEST
Band collar? Grandad collar? Mandarin collar? Whatever you call that unique collar—or lack of collar—one thing we can all agree on is that it looks ace. Classic, but not old-fashioned, it adds a bit of hard-grafting flair to even the laziest of days.
A CUT ABOVE
We used our tried and tested Ideal Shirt as the blueprint for the Band Collar Shirt’s cut, meaning it has that tailored fit we’re famous for. Sharp, but with room to move, there’s a reason we come back to this shape time and time again.
YOU ASK, WE OBLIGE
You told us you felt a full button placket carried a bit more smart-do weight than the two or three buttons you often see paired with a grandad collar. Well, we weren’t about to stop listening to you now. We opted for eight nifty bio-based buttons running from collar to waist. Talk about scrubbing up nicely. Pass the fizz, please.
THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
One shirt, seven timeless tones. If you ever wanted to live out your lavish dream of wearing a different-coloured shirt for every day of the week, here’s your chance. Or of course, you could just pick your fave.
THE DEVIL’S IN THE DETAILS
If you’re one of those people who obsesses over small details, there’s a lot to obsess over here. From the gently rounded hem to that tonal thread on the sleeves, we put a lot of effort into making sure everything about the Band Collar Shirt was just right.
A WEARABLE WONDER
Yep, it’s a work-wear favourite, but that doesn’t mean it can only be worn with a pair of 100-year-old jeans salvaged from a gold mine. Wear it with a suit, wear it with chinos, wear it with shorts, wear it with… you get the idea, this thing is versatile. The shirt of choice for those who are looking for something just that little bit different.
