Combat heritage, peacetime comfort.
A century of heritage
It’s not called the Army Shirt for nothing. Based on the American military classics that survived two world wars, this one's built tough—but you won't find trench dirt on it. Just the careful hands of our Portuguese partners at Zoombox, who’ve crafted it with care and precision.
Two-ply Twill, the secret weapon
The fabric? A 200g/m² organic cotton twill that’s nearly 50% heavier than your average shirt. Double twisted yarn for extra strength, but still supple enough to move when you do. Woven by Olimpias in Italy with Egyptian cotton in the weft and American in the warp, it’s got a bit of an accent.
Fighting for softness
The fabric may be tough, but it’s gentle on your skin. We pre-wash it at the mill so it arrives soft, comfy, and with a slightly broken-in look that gets better with age. It feels like it’s already seen a bit of the action without being knocked out of shape
Moves how you move
That back comfort pleat? Not just a fancy touch. It’s the reason this shirt moves like a dream. Reach, stretch, lounge about—nothing pulls at the shoulders, nothing pops out at the waist. Comfort designed a hundred years ago, still spot on today.
Two pockets, built for action
The patch pockets on the chest are doing more than looking good. They’ve got buttoned flaps, extra folds for volume, and bartacks and cross stitching to negate the stress points. Your essentials will be pleased.
Sizing that flexes
Take your usual size for a clean fit. Prefer it looser? Go up a size for that laid-back overshirt look. Want it really sharp? Downsize, but bear in mind—it’s already built with extra give thanks to that back comfort pleat.
Low maintenance, high mileage
Machine wash at 30°C, air dry, and iron if you feel the urge. Nothing else required. The fabric softens, the shape holds, and the shirt gets better each time it comes out of the wash.
All-terrain layer
Call it a work shirt, an overshirt - whatever works for you. Wear it on its own, throw it over a tee, or layer it under a jumper. It’s tough, it’s versatile, and it’s got your back whether you're heading into town or out into the wild.
