There are some battles you can’t win. There are three options when faced with the rain for example. Stay at home (a bit soft), take an umbrella (bit of a faff), wear a raincoat (look like a lost camper). When we started developing The Smart Raincoat, it was precisely to solve this diluvian dilemma: how to stay dry and still look good.
A fabric that’s saved lives. For real.
If you think a cotton raincoat sounds weak, wait until you discover Ventile®. Developed during the Second World War, it served one crucial purpose: to help Spitfire pilots who had bailed into the North Sea survive an extra few minutes.
The principle: a fabric woven so densely that the fibres puff up on contact with water, creating a waterproof barrier. No chemicals, no plastics, just genius.
If you fancy carrying out the test at home, simply pour a little water onto your Smart Raincoat and watch them bead on the surface, as if by magic. Textile engineering in its purest and most intelligent form.
Technical, but make it good-looking
We didn't want to offer you just a technical garment. We obsessed over the lines to make for a satisfyingly harmonious look—refined shoulders, shaped sleeves, and a modern fit that you would want to wear even in dry weather. Gone is the ‘boxy’ look of stiff trench coats.
The back vent gives you room to pedal or stride. The adjustable cuffs tighten or loosen as needed, as does the latch that guards the collar when the sky fully opens. Double-stitched inside, tidy as can be, and brings a rare level of detail for this kind of item.
And the buttons? All nine of them are Ascolite-sewn, so they can handle both rough weather and wear-and-tear. You could practically play rugby in this thing.

Our Smart Raincoat is available in three colours that’ll easily match your entire wardrobe. Navy, eternal classic. Khaki, nature-meets-city smooth. And the latest addition, dark beige, a shade reminiscent of the traditional trench coat.
Choose wisely
Stick to your usual size. In between? Go down for a sharper look (but maybe skip the thick knit underneath), or up for a looser fit and layering options. Depends if you're a tee-or-sweater-under-your-coat type.
The Smart Raincoat lands Tuesday
Here’s the forecast: preorders open Tuesday 24th of June 2025 at 10 a.m., for 279€. You've got six days to act before the price climbs to 349€ in a stock sale—if you're lucky enough to find your size and colours then.
Be quick, and you’ll be kitted out in mid-September, just in time for those polite but persistent autumn showers.
