Precise and controlled
Nothing’s been left to chance, it fits just like you asked: Straight fit, mid-bicep length sleeves, well-proportioned collar, 160 g/m² density – just the sort of credentials that make The Merino T-shirt an addictive bit of schmutter. Tuck it in, leave it out, wear it solo or layer it up - from deepest darkest winter to early summer it’s constantly in circulation, no pun intended.

A hard nut with a soft centre
Combining comfort, performance and durability is pretty much the hardest thing to get right in our trade. How did we do it? Here’s how:
- Fastidious finishing: We've backed the collar with binding to prevent stretching, double-stitched the hem and peppered robust stitching pretty much everywhere else to maximise durability.
- Genuinely soft wool: We've selected the softest Merino fibres on the market. Weighing in at 19.5-microns, they’re four times finer than a human hair. Itchy Merino? Pfff. This stuff is like butter.
- Goodbye, bobbles: We’ve developed a 160 g/m² jersey that’s dense enough to keep the dreaded bobbles at bay without compromising on its year-round versatility. It feels substantial and does a great job of keeping its shape over time.
Our customers say it best though, rating it 8.8/10 for durability.
There’s no turning back.
- This is the 3rd iteration of the Merino tee, and it already symbolises much of what Asphalte stands for. More than 13,000 of you have been persuaded since we first launched it in 2023, rating scoring 8.9/10 for comfort. For this 4th version, we haven't actually had to make any changes so you must be pretty happy with it. Apart from adding new colours, that is.
How does preordering work?
Basically, it means you buy the garment before it’s produced. By pre‑ordering, you’re the one launching the production.
With this system, we only produce what’s sold, so we avoid overproduction and can offer you an excellent quality‑price ratio.
