Care guide for the Turtleneck

WASHING YOUR TURTLENECK

No need to overthink this one – your turtleneck is washing machine-friendly. Pop it in on a gentle 30°C cycle with a maximum 400 rpm spin, and it'll come out good as new. To keep the fabric and colours at their best, liquid detergent works better than powder. Eco-friendly options get bonus points.

DRYING: HANDLE WITH CARE

Here's where we need to lay down some ground rules, sorry. Your turtleneck and tumble dryers are sworn enemies – keep them apart. Hangers are also off the menu unless you fancy your turtleneck with stretched-out shoulders. Air drying is the way forward, preferably laid flat. And while we're at it, direct sunlight is another no-go – unless faded patches are your thing. A bit of shade will keep your turtleneck looking sharp for longer.

IRONING?

If needed, a quick once-over with steam at 110°C max will do the trick. But between us, this turtleneck was designed to look decent even if you can't be bothered with this step.

GENTLE WITH MORE THAN JUST YOU

The planet gets the same treatment: since January 2024, the AGEC law requires the textile industry to be upfront about what we're selling you. We've always been keen on transparency, but now it's official – so here's the inside track on your turtleneck:

  • It’s 100% recyclable after being dismantled, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. If you stop wearing yours for whatever reason, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing it on to a friend, family member or donating yours to a charity. The best way of reducing an item of clothing’s impact is by keeping it in circulation, and only recycling it when there really is no life or use left in it.
  • Unlike many garments that release microplastics during washing, our Turtlenecks have been designed not to do so. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
  • They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
  • They do not contain any recycled materials. We try and incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Turtleneck.

AND THAT'S A WRAP!

Clean, fresh, and ready for your next adventure together. Remember to take it off occasionally – partly to wash it, yes, but also to let the fabric breathe. You'll find it needs fewer trips through the washing machine that way.

We'll check in with you in a few weeks to see how you're getting on.
