After ten iterations, our Solid Sneakers have become the Classic Sneakers. The name may have changed, but their toughness? Still rock-solid. We’ve refined these kicks based on feedback from thousands of you, perfecting the formula to deliver a sneaker that's as durable as ever—only now with a major comfort upgrade. Ready for the big reveal?
Comfort Elevated
Yep, we found even more ways to make them comfier. Think a redesigned insole —thicker, snugger at the heel, and still removable for extra practicality. Plus, we’ve swapped in a mesh-and-foam combo that feels like walking on clouds. The inner lining? Now a mix of leather and breathable mesh for maximum comfort without the sweaty aftermath.
Balanced Design
Our team finessed every detail for a cleaner look and a more even lace pattern. It's all about millimetres here, but trust us—it makes a huge difference. Those tiny tweaks mean your sneakers will hold their shape better and age more gracefully, looking sleek for seasons to come.
Italian Lush Leather
We’ve partnered with Poletto in Italy for ultra-smooth leather that’s durable yet soft, perfect for weathering the elements and ageing with character. For grained and suede leathers, we're sticking with Mastrotto, our go-to for leather that’s tough but never stiff, keeping your feet comfy without the cracks.
Soles That Stand Firm
Our sturdy soles from Globotrilha in Portugal haven’t changed a bit. These soles are all about resilience, ready to handle urban adventures or countryside strolls with equal ease. Your Classic Sneakers are here to stay.
Built with Strobel
Strobel stitching isn’t just a method; it’s the backbone of our sneakers. This technique sews the upper directly onto the sole, creating unbeatable flexibility and durability. In short, your feet will thank you.
Breathe Easy
Ventilation is key, so we’ve kept the four side eyelets for breathability even on the warmest days. No more sweaty feet, just fresh air flow to keep things cool.
Laced to Last
We’ve locked down those flat, waxed cotton laces to keep them neat and durable. With metal eyelets that stand up to daily wear, your laces will stay put and your sneakers will always look on point. Plus, the tongue now has a handy slot to keep everything snug and tidy.

Our aim is to always give you as much information as possible on the clothes we make so you can make an informed decision before preordering. This includes the environmental impact of each pair of Solid Sneakers we produce expressed in simple terms that we can all easily understand. There’s no point hiding from it :

Delivery costs
We deliver worldwide. For orders in selected European countries including the UK, we charge a flat fee of 9€ irrespective of how many pieces of the same item you order. For deliveries in the rest of Europe and outside of the EU, the cost is 15€.
Easy to change sizes
If you get the wrong size, fear not, we accept returns and exchanges. For orders in Europe, these are free. For countries in the rest of the world, we ask you to pay the return cost and we will take care of the cost of sending out an exchange. Just log into your Asphalte account and we’ll get that sorted.
It costs nothing to try
If you ever change your mind or the product doesn't meet your expectations when you receive it, all you have to do is send it back unworn and we'll refund you. Easy.
