Where your summer trousers let you down in the past...

They lost their shape

The fabric creased

Seriously Light

As you’d expect, these things are light... real light. Made with stifling summer days in mind, they’ve been constructed from 250g/m2 organic cotton—that’s 10g/m2 lighter than our Light Chinos, and they were a pretty breezy number.

Wondrous Weave

Crafted in Italy, the fabric has been woven loosely to give it a relaxed, almost linen-like texture. It’s hard to describe it with mere words, but try ‘em on for yourself and you’ll know what all the fuss is about. The Man from Del Monte would approve.

Comfort is King

This material also has what’s known as ‘mechanical stretch’ woven into it. This means the Light Trousers hold their shape, whilst staying comfy—sort of like your favourite polo shirt.

Fantastic Elastic

There’s a subtle bit of elastic worked into the waistband, racking up even more comfort points. Don’t worry, we’re still miles away from jogging pant territory, but that little bit of stretch takes the tension off the waist and should make summer at least 56.4% more enjoyable - according to elite trouser scientists.

Relaxed, but by no means baggy, our Light Trousers have a laid-back shape that works with everything from shoes to sandals. There’s no MC Hammer drop-crotch action here either—these are made for summertime, not hammer-time.

Smooth Operators

Light and breezy doesn’t have to mean creasy. Because they’re made from cotton and not the sort of sub-par linen some manufacturers resort to,these laid-back summer pants won’t turn into a crinkly, creased mess after one stroll down to the beach

Put to the Test

To make sure the Light Trousers were up to the task, we sent them to an independent lab for testing. They scored 5/5 for durability and 4/5 for pilling, those are the sort of results that speak for themselves.

Tough Cookies

To keep things durable we added a double top-stitch to the seams. After all, ‘relaxed’ trousers aren’t so relaxing when they’re reduced to tatters at the first sign of trouble.

Best of Both Worlds

The Light Trousers sit somewhere in the sweet spot between sophisticated and comfortable—just as suited for lazy Sundays as they are for busy Mondays. When the sun’s cracking flags and you still want to wear trousers, these will come in handy.
