The good news? It's finally arrived at your door. The even better news? It'll stick with you for years if you show it a little love. Your Thermal's ready to battle the elements to keep you toasty, but it needs some well-placed attention in return.
HOW TO WASH THIS LITTLE MARVEL?
No textile degree required: 30°C max, inside out, with similar colours. Pop it in a washing bag and opt for liquid detergent rather than powder, which can play havoc with the fibres and colours.
The absolute no-no: wringing your T-shirt like a dishcloth after washing. It's the fast track to sending those fibres to an early grave.
WHAT ABOUT DRYING?
Using a tumble dryer is like inviting an elephant to dance on your T-shirt: terrible idea. Go for good old al fresco drying, ideally flat on a clean towel. It takes a bit longer, but your T-shirt will thank you by keeping its original shape and size.
NEED TO IRON IT?
If creases bother you more than people who chew loudly, a quick once-over at 110°C will do the trick. No hotter, unless you're attempting to transform your Thermal into a textile pancake.
FYI, OUR THERMAL T-SHIRTS AND THE PLANET
Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Thermal T-shirts:
- They’re 100% recyclable after being dismantled, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. If you stop wearing yours for whatever reason, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing it on to a friend, family member or donating yours to a charity. The best way of reducing an item of clothing’s impact is by keeping it in circulation, and only recycling it when there really is no life or use left in it.
- Unlike many garments that release microplastics during washing, our Thermal T-shirts have been designed not to do so. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
- They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
- They do not contain any recycled materials. We try to incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Thermal T-shirts.
Thanks!
